		<description>I agree that the LDS site is one of the best for finding Irish records.  Once you have used their online catalogue to identify the records you are interested in, you can order them at a family history centre near you (see the "Find a Family History Center" link on its front page).  
Only 40% of Ireland's records were destroyed in the uprising, so many still remain, although some of these can only be accessed by a visit to Ireland.
