Where can I find a good Conneticut genealogy site on the internet?

I am looking for more information on my family. I need to research all of connecticut to find out where he was. The spelling was spelled alot of different ways. Thanks for any help.

    Use a census index of some sort, and narrow it down to a certain county. Records MIGHT be in adjoining counties, but saves you not knowing where to focus your search.

    To follow up on what Wendy said, once you know where they were then google the county (like Denver, CO genealogy). that will bring up a bunch of sites to look at. Then perhaps you can find what you are looking for from one of those sites.

    Ancestry.com has a Connecticut Death index for the years 1949-2001. You can probably access Ancestry.com for free at your public library as many libraries have a subscription. If you just need a couple of lookups in the index, you can e-mail me through my profile. I would be happy to help if i can.
