Feelin Randi? asked: It’s been very difficult finding ancestors for temple submission with the Church’s services (LDS, Mormon). I don’t know if this is due to the socialist nature of the Cuban government, or if there’s just been some error particularly in MY genealogy. Anybody after my grandfather seems to not be found by the LDS church.
Any and all resources will be appreciated dearly.
God Bless mine and everyone’s endeavor to save their departed family members!

Lizard King asked: I have fooled around on line trying to find out more about my parents parents (immigrants from Scotland and Ireland) but I found it confusing and hard to get started. Where is a place for a beginner to start? Is it worth it to hire someone to do this. I’m retired and have a lot of time if that is all it takes.

betty2dogs asked: I am looking for ideas for a birthday present for a friend who is very interested in genealogy. He spends hours and hours researching his family. I was thinking of a filing system, as he prints out many documents, but would that be useful and “gifty” enough? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The Master asked: I live in the UK & have Ancesters in USA, Canada, NZ, Australia & a few other Countries I expect. Ancestry UK is a very good site, but Ancestry Worldwide is $350 a year, which is a little expensive, are there any other sites out there, as good but cheaper. Thanks in advance.

z z asked: I have been doing research and found info in the LDS database. A submitter is listed with full name and address.
More research turned up his email address posted on a genealogy website where he was asking for info on his family.
Can I send him an email or is that rude? The date on the email website is 1998, no date on LDS, so I have no idea if he is still working on genealogy.
